Shiro #05 Sour Lime - Expert Review

The Shiro line is a line of nicotine pouches produced by AG Snus in Denmark, now owned by PMI. It recently went through a redesign/rebranding/relaunching, and today we’re going to be checking out one of the new flavors in this line: 05 Sour Lime. This is a low strength product, at 1 / 4 on their power scale, and 3.6mg/pouch of nicotine strength. This one comes in a stronger 8.4mg/pouch version as well if you want one with a little more kick to it.

Opening the can, I encountered a really nice smell of lime. It’s natural, tart, and slightly sour. This one isn’t one that has sweetness added to it unnecessarily. The pouches are slim, and lighter in weight. They have a soft portion material, and a decent amount of moisture. The flavor release is pretty soon after putting a pouch in, as well. The flavor is quite tasty on this one. It is most definitely lime. The lime is natural, and tart. It is also sour, as the name says, but it’s not too sour that it’s uncomfortable.

In the nicotine strength, as I mentioned, this one is lower. I use mostly regular strength products myself, so this felt lighter than I am used to. However, products like this exist for those who have lower nicotine cravings, so it’s a good thing they’re out there for those who want that. In the flavor longevity, I find this one to hang out for about 35-45 minutes, on average.

Wrap-Up & Recommendation:

The Shiro line has a wide assortment of flavors, and nicotine strengths. Whether you want citrus, berry, licorice, or mint, there is something for everyone. This one is probably my favorite of the entire line, because the sour lime flavor is top notch, and is a great all day flavor for those who enjoy the taste of citrus.

Snubie’s Opinion:

This one is pretty solid. I like it with a beer, personally. It’s a great pairing flavor. But, this is certainly one you can use all day long as your regular nicotine pouch if you like the flavor of citrus. Lime isn’t a commonly represented taste, so it is one that is pleasant and enjoyable to encounter!
