Velo Freeze X-Strong Slim Expert Review

The Lyft nicotine pouches line launched back in 2018, and grew to become the most popular, well known line of nicotine pouches on the market. Over the past year or so, BAT has been transitioning Lyft to Velo, so if you see “Velo”, just know that’s the same product as Lyft. Nothing has changed about the product quality, it has simply been rebranded. Lyft Freeze (now Velo Freeze) launched back in 2019, and is one of the stronger products in the Lyft/Velo family. It is incredibly popular due to it’s fresh flavor, and high nicotine strength.

VELO Freeze X strong Open

When you open a can of Velo Freeze, a clean, clear, sharp, biting aroma of peppermint greets you. It has some sweetness to it, but it’s not overly sweet. And it’s not as sweet as Lyft/Velo Mint or Easy Mint Mini, in terms of a comparison. The portions are slim, moderately moist, soft, and comfortable under the lip. Like most mint products, it comes with a cooling freshness under the lip, but it has a bit of a sting to it as well! In the flavor profile, the peppermint taste is sharp, present, and focused. It has a subtle sweetness to it, but it's not as sweet as other mint nicotine pouch products I’ve tried in the past. It’s fresh, and clean in the experience. Now, let’s talk nicotine. Lyft/Velo is very interesting. At 10.9mg/portion, you’d think it's closer to regular strength. That wouldn't sound like it's that strong. However, Lyft/Velo have always delivered nicotine at a feeling higher than the strength on paper. This one feels between strong and extra strong, even though the strength per portion is closer to regular. The flavor lasts between 40 to 45 minutes, on average.

Wrap-Up & Recommendation:

As Lyft becomes Velo, it's important to note that this is simply a rebranding. If you enjoyed Lyft before, you'll enjoy Velo now. If you enjoyed Lyft Freeze, you’ll enjoy Velo Freeze. In terms of mint flavored nicotine pouches, this one delivers a lot of flavor, and a strong dose of nicotine. It’s a good one for those who are chasing a more high-octane experience with a bold, pronounced mint flavor.

Snubie’s Opinion:

For me, if I’m using a mint product in the Velo line, I’m more partial to their standard Velo Mint. I like the milder, sweeter taste of that one with less nicotine. This one has a little more kick than I prefer. I know it's popular, however, and I know quite a few folks who swear by this one and use it regularly. It’s just not one I would personally use because it's a bit too strong. But hey, if you like mint nicotine pouches and want something that kicks, this would be right up your alley. I just prefer their regular mint one, personally.
