VOLT Mystic Blue Mini - Expert Review

It’s been about a year since the Volt line launched in the summer of 2021. Produced by Swedish Match, the Volt line delivers some traditional flavors, but also some unique ones. They recently have launched mini nicotine pouches, which is relatively new in the all-white segment. In this review, we’re going to be checking out one of them: Volt Mystic Blue Mini. This one also has a larger sized counterpart available, as well.

The first thing you’ll notice about these when you open the can is the size of the pouches. Yes, these are smaller compared to other Euro nicotine pouches. However, if you use US nicotine pouches you’ll notice these are pretty similar in size. In the aroma, I notice a natural, gentle smell of blueberry. Blueberry isn’t common with nicotine pouches, so this is a pleasant experience. I don’t really notice much vanilla, and the mint is very faint.

The pouch is small, semi-moist, and comfortable under the lip. It is smaller in size, and rather discrete. There is a faint cooling sensation with this one, but it’s not as noticeable as with other mint products. In the flavor profile, it’s a sweet, natural, gentle taste of blueberry. Again, I don’t detect much vanilla, nor do I notice a lot of mint. It’s mostly focused on the blueberry. In terms of strength, it is on the lighter side, feeling below the regular mark. The flavor tends to hang out for about 40-45 minutes.

Wrap-Up & Recommendation:

If you liked the full sized Mystic Blue but want something in a more pocket friendly, discrete format, this is something you’ll want to pick up on your next order. It has a nice, fresh taste of blueberry with just a little mint character to it, but not so much mint that it overtakes the blueberry. This is a fruity pouch, for those who are looking for something a little different than other tastes on the market.

Snubie’s Opinion:

I like blueberry. You don’t see it very much these days. I don’t really use mini portions myself, so with these I have to use two of them. But, this isn’t a product made for me, it’s made for people who use mini pouches. While I wouldn’t personally use this, I can see why it’s out there. It’s like with snus, I don’t use mini portion snus, but I know people who do. There’s definitely a market for it, that’s for sure. If you want a discrete pouch with a sweeter, fruity tasty, this is something you’ll want to check out.
