VOLT Red Swirl Mini - Expert Review

It’s been about almost a year since the VOLT line launched around May of 2021. Volt is produced by Swedish Match, and delivers some traditional flavors, but also some unique ones. They recently have begun making mini nicotine pouches, which is something new in the all-white segment. In this review, we’re going to be reviewing one of these new mini pouches: Volt Red Swirl Mini. This one also has a larger sized counterpart available, as well.

The first thing you’ll see when you open the can is the size of the pouches. These are smaller when compared to other Euro nicotine pouches. But, if you use US nicotine pouches you’ll find out that these are pretty similar in size. In the aroma of this one, I notice a present smell of strawberry. However, I don’t detect a lot of vanilla, nor do I notice a major presence of mint.

The pouch is smaller in size, semi-moist, and comfortable under the lip. However, if you're looking for a more discrete pouch, you’ll appreciate the size. There is also a subtle cooling sensation with this one, but it’s not as noticeable as with other mint products, for example. In the flavor profile, this one is mostly a present, smooth, sweet strawberry. I do pick up a little dab of mint in there, but I don’t gather much mint.

In regards to strength, it is on the lighter side, feeling below the regular mark. This is almost 1/3 the nicotine strength of a regular strength product. The flavor tends to hang out for about 40-45 minutes.

Wrap-Up & Recommendation:

There’s nothing quite like the taste of strawberry. And this one delivers it in a great way. With just a hint of vanilla and a touch of mint, it’s refreshing and enjoyable. The mini portion size yields a more discrete experience, and you get it all in the tobacco-free nicotine pouch format. If this is a category of products that you use and enjoy, the Volt line as a whole is worth checking out.

I don’t really use mini portions. But hey, different strokes for different folks. I get why they’re out there, and I know a lot of people who use them. The taste of this one honestly isn’t that bad. Even with the mint in there, because I’m usually no big fan of mixing mint with other tastes. But all in all, it isn’t bad. I think people who like fruity flavors will certainly enjoy this one.
