Läkerol Salmiak

Läkerol Salmiak is a black salty liquorice candy. The flavour of salty liquorice can be a surprise to the uninitiated palette but nevertheless soothes and leaves a pleasant and long-lasting taste in the mouth, even after the pastille has fully dissolved. The pastille itself is firm but chewable and will eventually completely melt in the mouth.

The packaging is arresting ‒ a small compact black box with dramatic red design work all over the front. The brand name, Läkerol, is clear at the top of the box and further down is the name of the flavour. There is also a helpful image of two of the brown circular candies displayed on the front so that the consumer knows exactly what they are getting. The box contains approximately 25 pieces of candy.
