Oden’s Cold Extreme White Dry - Expert Review

Years ago, the strongest snus you could get was “Extra Stark”, which usually was around 16-17mg/g of nicotine. This was the standard for high-strength snus for a long time, until a new company called GN Tobacco appeared in Sweden, purchasing the old Snus AB factory and making their own snus under the “Oden’s” brand, an old Gajane label. When Oden’s Extreme came onto the market, it raised the ceiling for nicotine strength to 22mg/g. That would increase later on down the road to 43mg/g with their Siberia line. This snus, Oden’s Cold Extreme White Dry, is without a doubt one of the most popular snus products in the world, and one of the most popular products in the mint flavor category.

Wrap-Up & Recommendation:

This is one of the most popular mint products in the world, but also one of the most popular snus products in the world. It has a Viking-themed can, which I think is pretty neat, a high nicotine level, and a fresh taste of spearmint with a dab of tobacco. People who enjoy high octane snus but that may not want to go to Siberia levels enjoy this one, because it delivers a fresh taste with a little extra kick than your average, every-day snus. Also, the “Cold" line comes in a wide variety of strengths and flavors, and you can find them all on SnusDirect to find the perfect portion format and nicotine strength for yourself.

Snubie’s Opinion:

When I use mint products, I tend to stick to lower strengths. This one is a little stronger than I personally prefer. In the Cold line, however, there are others that I think are better. If I were to use a portion format Cold, I’d stick with Oden’s Cold Original Portion (Regular Strength). However, the Cold line also has the only mint-flavored loose snus on the market, which is one I think quite highly of.
