Ettan Loose offers a distinguished flavor, with hints of smoke aroma and a characteristic fresh, unseasoned tobacco scent. Its taste is reminiscent of Belgian dark chocolate, under the lip as well as in the nose. Ettan Lös is a true Swedish classic that has been around for many years. In fact, Ettan Loose is the oldest food product in Sweden, and still one of the most popular Swedish snus brands on the market today.

Handbaking is easy if you know what you’re doing, but to the snus novice it can look rather complex. However, Ettan loose is surprisingly easy to mold into a perfectly packed snus that also stays together extremely well under the lip without the annoying ”mudslide”.

When Jacob Fredrik Ljunglöf first released Ettan (called ”Ljunglöf’s No.1” back then) he was keen on producing a snus with great flavor but more importantly of the highest quality. This was back in 1822. A nice surprise

I love this stuff. The flavor develops nicely at the 30 minute mark and still tastes awesome when I spit it out about 30 minutes later.

First snus

My first time using snus, and decided to try loose to learn the "classic" way of enjoying snus. Very easy to handbake and holds its shape well. Strong tobacco flavour, and after getting used to the flavour I could detect a slight chocolate undertone to the snus. Definitely plan to order more and keep it part of my daily rotation!

My first loose ever!

This was my first experience with ordering snus online and using loose. I love the flavor drip that happened about a half hour after pressing a cylinder(prilla?) together. It was really easy to pack with my fingers and it didn't come apart for sometime well after an hour of placing it in my upper deck. Nice moisture content and great tobacco taste with no overpowering frills. I'm so happy I found snusdirect.com. I ordered almost 50 cans and received (in the U.S) every single one in perfect condition less than a week after I placed my order! With shipping and the special offers I only paid just over $3 a can! I'm so happy I found a way to enjoy tobacco in the states that isn't cancer causing (from the research I've seen). American "chewing tobacco" is absolutely disgusting and overpriced. I had to use skoal snus (if that's what it even is, as if they even pasteurize it) and copenhagen pouches (which I almost threw up using because the wintergreen flavor was so unnaturally sweet and it smelled awful). Thank you snusdirect, you found a lifetime customer with me!
