Göteborgs Rapé XRANGE Slim White - Expert Review

Göteborgs Rapé is such an interesting snus to me. Back when I first started using snus in 2009, it was one of the first ones I tried out. I wasn’t a fan. For some reason in 2013, I tried it again and fell in love with it. Now, I use it every single day. It’s my #2 favorite right behind General. GR is one of the classic, traditional snus products going back to the STM days. It has a unique flavor, but one that is enjoyable for all day use. It’s gentle, but not lacking. It is very unique, and stands apart from other snus products on the market. The XRANGE version, XRANGE Göteborgs Rapé Slim, we’re talking about today is a cheaper version of the classic Göteborgs Rapé White Large, but with slim portions, which I think make a great product even better!

Upon opening the can, you’ll notice a mellow smell of juniper, accompanied by light notes of citrus, flowers, and herbs. The portions are slim, and come in the Star Formation, so I suggest fluffing them up before putting them under your lip. Once in the lip, they are quite soft, with a comfortable fit! The flavor of this one is quite unique, but approachable and balanced. The flavor of juniper is the most present in the mix, and is accompanied by a light, subtle floral sweetness. There is a light touch of citrus, and a mild, earthy base tobacco character. It’s a very well balanced, but mild flavor! The nicotine strength delivers at the regular strength level, and has a steady release of nicotine. I find the flavor to last about an hour, on average.

Göteborgs Rapé is one of the best products in the world of Swedish Snus. It is a high quality flavor that stands apart from others in terms of how unique it is. If you’ve never had it, it’s worth a try. For many, like myself, it is a favorite, and a regular in their personal rotation. GR also comes in lös, white large portion, and original portion, so there’s something for everyone in this series!

I love this snus. In my opinion, GR XRANGE is the best version of the GR flavor profile. This is a snus I use every day, and one I always recommend for people who are looking for something to mix things up a bit! If you’ve never had it before, it is definitely a must try!
