XRANGE General Strong Slim - Expert Review

It’s been about 7 years since Swedish Match launched the XRANGE series, and it has grown to become one of the most popular brands around. XRANGE offers the premium products such as General, Catch, and Göteborgs Rapé, but at a cheaper price. You still get the same high quality snus, but with less cost. In the XRANGE series there are three General snus variants: Slim Original, Slim White, and the one we are talking about today – Slim White Strong!

When you open the can, you’ll notice that XRANGE comes in the Star Formation. They used to not do this, but recently Swedish Match changed the can to a slimmer can, and upgraded the white portions to now come in the Star Formation! I suggest rolling them around in your finger before you putting one under the lip, as it makes a softer pouch. This one has the traditional aroma of General! I get citrus and pepper first, and then a mild note of earthy tobacco. The portions have a slim fit, and soft portion material, so they have a great amount of comfort when you put one under your upper lip. The flavor is very much the traditional General taste. I notice a mild, earthy base tobacco with a spicy note of pepper. Bergamot compliments the tobacco base and has a nice tea-like quality to it. It is a mellow, but long lasting taste! It’s not a weak flavor, but it’s very gentle. And it hangs out for quite a while, usually over an hour. In the strength, it feels to be above regular strength, but not too strong. If you prefer regular strength like me, this one won’t knock you out or anything.

The General XRANGE line is a solid line that offers premium, high quality products with a cheaper price tag. If you like General snus, there’s quite a few of them available in the XR series, in both slim and white portion format. This one is a popular one that a lot of people enjoy!

I use the XRANGE line all the time, myself. I am a big fan of the slim original or slim white version. I don’t really use the strong one, but I prefer to stick to regular strength products myself. However, this one is still a solid product if you’re looking for something with a little extra kick. But all in all it’s a high quality product line that saves a few bucks!
